Refund Policy
A legal disclaimer
Effective Date:Â September 13, 2026
At Bethsaida SDA Church, we are grateful for every donation and contribution made in support of our church, ministries, outreach programs, events, and community activities.
This Refund Policy explains how requests for refunds are handled for donations, payments, registrations, and other transactions made through our website or through services connected to our website.
1. General Policy
Bethsaida SDA Church handles financial contributions and payments with care and transparency.
Because donations are voluntary contributions intended to support the mission and ministry of the church, donations are generally non-refundable once they have been successfully processed.
However, we understand that mistakes can happen. If you believe a donation or payment was made in error, you may contact us and request that the transaction be reviewed.
2. Donations
Donations made to Bethsaida SDA Church are generally considered final and are not automatically eligible for refunds.
Examples include:
-
General church donations
-
Tithes
-
Offerings
-
Mission contributions
-
Building or renovation contributions
-
Ministry donations
-
Youth ministry contributions
-
Community outreach contributions
-
Special project donations
-
Event-related contributions designated as donations
We encourage donors to carefully review the amount and payment information before submitting a donation.
3. Accidental or Duplicate Donations
If you accidentally submit a donation, enter the wrong amount, or make the same donation more than once, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may review the transaction and, when appropriate, issue a refund.
Requests for accidental or duplicate donations should include:
-
Donor’s name
-
Email address
-
Date of transaction
-
Amount of transaction
-
Transaction or confirmation number, if available
-
Explanation of the issue
Providing this information helps us locate and review the transaction efficiently.
4. Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe that a transaction was made using your payment method without your authorization, contact us immediately.
We may request information necessary to identify the transaction and investigate the matter.
For suspected payment-card fraud or unauthorized use, you should also contact your bank or payment-card provider immediately.
5. Event Registration Payments
Some church events, conferences, trips, programs, or activities may require a registration fee.
The refund eligibility for an event payment may depend on the specific event.
When an event has a separate refund deadline or cancellation policy, that policy will be displayed during registration or communicated to participants.
If no specific refund policy is provided for an event, refund requests will be reviewed individually based on the circumstances and timing of the request.
6. Canceled or Postponed Events
If Bethsaida SDA Church cancels an event for which a registration fee was paid, we may offer one of the following options, depending on the circumstances:
-
A full refund
-
A partial refund
-
Transfer of the registration to another event
-
Credit toward a future church activity
The specific option available may depend on the nature of the event and expenses that have already been incurred.
If an event is postponed rather than canceled, previously registered participants may be given the option to transfer their registration to the new date.
7. Participant Cancellation
If you register for a paid event but later decide that you cannot attend, a refund is not guaranteed.
Refund requests should be submitted before the cancellation deadline communicated for that particular event.
After the applicable deadline has passed, refunds may not be available because the church may already have incurred expenses related to the participant’s registration.
8. Processing Fees
When a refund is approved, certain payment-processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may not be refundable.
Where applicable, the amount returned may therefore differ from the original transaction amount.
The church will communicate any applicable deductions before processing a refund when reasonably possible.
9. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund has been approved, the time required for the funds to appear in your account may depend on the payment method and financial institution used.
Bethsaida SDA Mission is not responsible for delays caused by banks, credit-card companies, payment processors, or other financial institutions.
10. Refund Method
Approved refunds will generally be issued using the original payment method used for the transaction.
For security and accounting purposes, we generally do not issue refunds through an unrelated payment method.
11. Non-Refundable Contributions
Certain contributions may not be refundable because they have already been allocated, transferred, spent, or committed for their intended ministry or project purpose.
Examples may include contributions made toward:
-
Specific mission projects
-
Special church programs
-
Charitable outreach
-
Supplies or services already purchased
-
Event expenses already incurred
-
Designated ministry projects
Each request will be evaluated based on the circumstances and applicable requirements.
12. Donation Designations
If a donor designates a donation for a particular ministry, project, or purpose, Bethsaida SDA Mission will make reasonable efforts to use the contribution according to that designation.
If circumstances prevent the church from using the contribution for the stated purpose, the church may redirect the funds to another appropriate ministry or purpose consistent with applicable law and church policies.
13. Tax and Donation Receipts
If you receive a donation receipt or other documentation for tax purposes, a refund may affect the amount of your eligible contribution.
Donors are responsible for maintaining accurate records and consulting their tax professional regarding the tax treatment of donations and refunds.
Bethsaida SDA Mission does not provide individual tax advice.
14. Third-Party Payment Providers
Online payments or donations may be processed through third-party payment providers.
These providers may have their own terms, refund procedures, processing times, and policies.
Bethsaida SDA Mission does not control the internal processing procedures of independent payment providers.
Where appropriate, we may direct you to the payment provider for assistance with a transaction.
